FOSTER BROWN
NATURE THEATRE
NATURE THEATRE
NATURALIST / SINGER / SONGWRITER / STORY TELLER / HISTORICAL INTERPRETER
Foster’s love of nature stems from his childhood, growing up on an Indiana family farm. Deep woodlots, fishing ponds, fallow fields, and fields of corn, soybeans and winter wheat were his playgrounds. Immersed in this rural upbringing, Foster’s experiences infused an innate awe and curiosity for the natural world.
These childhood influences led Foster to pursue an Outdoor Education/Biology degree at Northland College in Ashland, Wisconsin. His work experiences at many nature camps, outdoor education schools, and nature centers in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Texas, Washington, Indiana and Ohio, have informed his songwriting topics.
Foster’s songs capture the adventure, curiosity, and wonder he still holds as a naturalist, father, and grandfather. Each song is imbued with fun and catchy rhythms and rhymes, nature lessons or danceable instrumentals that overtake your happy feet and face.
Take a listen. Although many of these songs were written for children, I am certain you parents will also find them an enjoyable way to foster a great appreciation for nature.
